Admissions Process
To start the admissions process at Shorewood Behavioral Health, you can call us or visit our hospital in Madison. Our intake counselors are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to conduct an assessment, during which they:
- Confirm that you meet our admissions criteria
- Collect relevant personal and medical information
This prescreening helps us better understand your specific needs and determine whether our behavioral health hospital may be the ideal place for you to receive treatment. Based on your age and the severity of your symptoms, we may recommend one of the following levels of care:
- Inpatient programming: For adults and adolescents who are in crisis and require round-the-clock supervision
- Partial hospitalization program (PHP): Caters to adults who are experiencing moderate symptoms and need structured, daily support
- Intensive outpatient program (IOP): Ideal for adults who can benefit from regular therapy sessions but do not require intensive care
If none of our programs are a good fit for you, we can work with you to explore other treatment options and resources.
